The Yamaha FZS600 Fazer is the predecessor to the FZ6, appearing in 1998 and remaining in production until 2004 when emissions regs finished it off. It is a sport motorcycle which was showcased at the Paris Auto Show in 1997 and shares some of its design and parts with other Yamahas, for example its engine is from the YZF600R Thundercat but adapted to offer more mid-range power. It evolved a more modern fairing in 2002 with a better headlight design.
