The National Road Rally

What it's like to ride in it, from a participant...

Here's a comment from someone who has ridden in the National Road Rally in the past and clearly really enjoyed it, while raising money for charity at the same time - thanks for this Howard.

"I rode in the National in 2005—2006 and 2008 and won Gold awards in each rally.
(It was cancelled in 2007 due to lack of entries as it clashed with the TT centenary.)

I also won best charity fund raiser for MENCAP in all three events.

Here's a picture of me on my Pan Euro with Maria Costello and Ali one of the MENCAP organisers (Can't remember her second name) at the end of the 2006 rally at National Motor Cycle Museum..

It's a fantastic event where you meet loads of people with the motor cycle bug. The planning is an enjoyable part of the event getting the required mileage and checkpoint combinations right."

Brilliant - if it needed an endorsement here we have it! Thanks again Howard - anyone else had a go at this event? Email us at [email protected]
