Own an old(ish) Japanese motorcycle?
How about joining the VJMC
The VJMC (Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club) has been in existence for more than 34 years. It promotes the use, repair, restoration and, most importantly, the riding of any Japanese motorcycle over 15 years old.
It's a broad church club without any other specific criteria. Two strokes, four strokes, singles, twins, triples, four and sixes are all standard fare. Air cooled or water cooled, road, trail, track…it’s all respected and loved.
Running shows, participating in track days, and working with the CRMC, the club's there at grass roots and at the top of the tree.
Members tend to own diverse machinery. Many a member will own a bike from the '60s, a couple of '70s machines, possibly a '80s big bike and maybe even a more modern machine.
The club works with several insurance providers to provide members exclusive discounts. Consider that first off Yamaha R1s or Suzuki Hayabusas now qualify for classic insurance, and you can see how beneficial this can be.
With local sections around the UK, there’s a VJMC team somewhere just a decent ride away. If you fancy finding out more visit
www.vjmc.com or call 01454 501 310 to join.
