Faster & more powerful than ever

You've most likely heard of the Ariel Atom, – the high-performance sports car - but have you heard of the Ariel Ace? Out in 2014, it was the first Ariel motorcycle since 1969. It has a V4 Honda engine which produces 175 horsepower and 97 pound-feet of torque.

With sufficient power to go from 0-60mph in 3.4 seconds, it's among the fastest motorcycles by acceleration. Max speed is 165mph. Sound impressive? Ariel isn't done yet. Later this month, the company is releasing a new version called the Ariel Ace R, which it claims will be faster and more powerful.

The Ace R will feature a tuned version of the V4 Honda engine. According to the manufacturer, the bike will have “a lot of carbon, a lot of machined aluminium and a lot of power.” Ariel is holding back details as the bike will be revealed at this year's Motorcycle Live at the NEC. All we know for sure is that it'll offer a substantial increase in power, and will be very expensive (the Ariel Ace is priced from £49,995).

There will be just 10 models, so this bike will be very limited edition. Each will have a unique colour scheme and specification.
