Lexmoto's LXR and LXR SE 125 have had an upgrade and are now Euro 5 compliant with more power coming from a new engine, a 6-speed gearbox, new graphics, updated suspension and for the SE a TFT dash. Already tapping into the zeitgeist, the new bikes, although being 125s, have that real big bike vibe. The LXR has added to its skill set without losing any of its already existing virtues.

The LXR 125 was the highest selling sportsbike of 2020 and Lexmoto are clearly building on their success here. Coming in at under £3000, it looks as though Chinese firm have hit a small capacity high note with this bike.

The new models come with a 125cc liquid cooled single engine with a claimed 12.3 bhp and 8.1 lb of torque. Producing top speeds of around 65-70 mph, with better throttle pick up, and a new 6 speed gearbox. The rear shocks are improved making the ride better and the bikes come with twin petal discs. The seat is higher too at 820mm but there is a lowering kit available for riders of shorter stature.

Plus the bikes come in some groovy colours, the LXR is available in Black/Gold & Black/White (but bluish!), the LXR SE 125 is classic Red/Black.
