Here's a great and unusual motorcycle project!
Rickuki RT500 - Rickman pre-unit, big British twin, chassis fitted
Well how's this for a lockdown project undertaken by a friend of Wemoto?
A few details - the engine is a Suzuki T/GT500, which has been converted to a water cooled engine run by an electric water pump. It has remote reservoir rear shocks so no shock fade and Suzuki GT50J front forks. Other features are four leading shoe brakes so it should stop on a dime, custom made engine plates and rear swing arm.
Its provenance is that it was bought from an engineer, as an abandoned project. He had originally bought it - possibly also as an abandoned project - with cut out top tubes after the previous incumbent had tried, very unsuccessfully, to install a Laverda Jota engine in it!
It is currently at the stage of being stripped down for painting and plating, before the final build is undertaken ready for 'set up and shake down'.
Well what a great project, looks like this bike has finally found an engineer who will go the distance!
