Dan Kneen to replace Cameron Donald
IOM Classic TT
The Australian Cameron Donald who was to race the upcoming IOM Classic TT,
has had to retire due to injury after breaking both wrists in a training accident. Ripley Land Racing have swiftly replaced him with the Manxman Dan Kneen.
This will be the first Classic machinery outing for Dan Kneen who will be aboard the G50 Seeley Matchless and 350cc Drixon Honda which won the race last year ridden by Chris Palmer.
Kneen, who will also be competing in the Motorsport Merchandise F1 race on the RLR Motorsports GSXR750 Suzuki, has had an amazing year so far, clinching the Irish Superbike Road Race Championship at the recent Armoy Road Races. The Manxman has been making appearances at the majority of the Irish National road races this year and has been victorious at the Cookstown 100, Tandragee 100, Skerries 100, Walderstown and Kells Road Races.
Kneen who is 27-years old and hails from Braddan on the Isle of Man, also enjoyed one of his best year’s at the TT with three top ten finishes. His best result was seventh in the RL 360º Superstock Race while he also became the 17th fastest rider of all time around the Mountain Course with a lap of 129.360mph.
