Circuit Memory
Brands, Mallory, Cadwell, Oulton, Croft...circuit settings and more
John Newman
Here's an idea from France for all you track day boys and girls...a smart phone app allowing settings for different circuits to be recorded.
The French version, for Android devices, means a rider can enter data for track length, gearing, suspension and fork settings, tyre choices, plus the all important lap times. It means a rider wouldn't have to spend time either remembering settings, scribbling in a notebook, or spending early laps finding out which combination works best.
If you're an avid track day attendee then Brands, Mallory, Cadwell, Oulton, Croft etc details could be there at a keyboards tap. Spanish circuits could be added too, as autumn/winter trips south have been growing in popularity over the years.
The French app is called
Pist'It (Pist is track in French – they have Facebook page) and apparently an English translation has now been completed, which will hopefully nudge a UK version.
