BIKE BOOM
MOTORCYCLE REGISTRATIONS ARE UP
Motorcycles, a dying trend? I don't think so. Registrations are up 17% in September 2016 compared to September 2015. And that's a great thing for motorcyclists. More bikes on the road mean more awareness and increased safety. Here's a little breakdown on what's been going on:
Is bigger better? A lot of you must think so, as there's been a 36% increase in registrations in the 1000+cc range. Though bikes ranging from 126-650cc saw the biggest increase, at almost 42%. Figures also show that good things don't always come in small packages. The 0-50cc engine band struggled last month, and indeed throughout the year, with an 8% decrease in registrations.

OVER PERFORMING
It was predicted that 101,000 motorcycles of all sizes would be registered in 2016. This number has been hit already and we're only 9 months in.
BIKE TYPES
So far this year, new registrations have shifted away from mopeds, sports bikes and touring motorcycles. Trail and enduro bikes seem to be growing in popularity, though.
