Prince William to visit Triumph Motorcycles

Image
On Tuesday 20th February, Prince William will visit Hinckley for the official opening of the Triumph Visitor Experience. An immersive "museum" celebrating historic and modern motorcycle design, engineering and racing.

The "Triumph Story" will unfold throughout nine zones. For a cost of £15 per person, visitors will be able to tour the factory and go behind the scenes. They will also be able to visit the Triumph Store and have lunch in the Triumph 1902 Cafe.

The Duke of Cambridge will himself be touring the factory, meeting its technicians and apprentices. After opening the experience, he'll then go on to visit the MIRA technology park, in Nuneaton. Kensington Palace says that the day will celebrate world-class British vehicular manufacture, research and development.

Triumph has been producing motorcycles since 1902. Its current owner, Nick Bloor, took over in 1983 and has invested over £80 million in the company, making it the world-wide seller it is today. Last year, Triumph sold a record 9,400 motorcycles in the UK. While its revenue increased by 22 percent, to £498.50 million.
